What is Vedic Meditation?
Vedic Meditation is one of the oldest and most natural forms of meditation. The Vedic Meditation technique is unique and essentially different from other forms of meditation and relaxation. Other types of meditation generally involve concentration (focusing the mind through effort) or contemplation (thinking about the meaning of something) - both of which keep the mind active.
Vedic meditation is a completely effortless technique that de-excites the mind in a natural and spontaneous way. The technique utilizes the natural tendency of the mind to become quiet and experience bliss. Research shows that it is one of the most effective meditation and relaxation techniques to release stress and promote mental and physical well-being.
The Vedic Meditation technique originated from the Veda - the same ancient knowledge base that brought us yoga, Ayurveda, and much of Eastern Philosophy. It has been practiced for well over 5,000 years and its integrity has been maintained through an unbroken line of teachers from that time.
The technique is specifically designed for “householders” – that is, for people who have not chosen to live monastic lives; and like yoga, Vedic Meditation can be practiced and enjoyed by anyone, regardless of cultural or religious beliefs. Because Vedic Meditation is completely natural, anyone can learn this meditation; it requires neither specific skills nor the adoption of a particular lifestyle.

more rested, more clarity, more productive during the day, and to be honest...a bit more open hearted. - Ary
Simple, Easy, Natural
Vedic Meditation is an effortless mental process. We sit comfortably in a chair, close our eyes, and use a mantra to trigger deep rest in the mind and body. Through this process, we awaken of the full potential of the mind and a fully restored physiology.
The key to Vedic Meditation is learning how to embrace, celebrate and surrender to the body's natural processes during meditation. Learning this process of letting go and surrender allows our body to enter a state of rest and repair. Without trying, stress naturally falls away, and what remains is a baseline of bliss and happiness that you know you've always deserved.
The power of Vedic Meditation lies in its simplicity. Unlike other forms of meditation, which require focus, concentration, yogi-like flexibility, and lots of time, Vedic Meditation is natural, quick and effective. It was crafted specifically for busy people with busy lives.
